“This is my entry for the 2011 Inglis Equine Art Prize for Thoroughbred racehorses. I had to go to a TB stud and take reference photos and do a painting with the theme ‘Life at Stud’.
‘Thongy’ was a 9 month old weanling and was being prepared for the sales. He was everyone’s favourite and they were going to miss him.
He ended up being a favourite at the sales and selling for top price. He has now gone to New Zealand.”
