‘I think it looks great and I am very happy with it.
It is so true to life especially his face.’
” Thank you for the wonderful painting of Jazzabout.
You have captured him in a way that shows off his beautiful kind eye and gentle nature, but have still managed to capture his happy soul.
This horse is very dear to me and has given me a lot of enjoyment in both training and competitions .Now everytime I walk past his lovely portrait I can enjoy seeing him portrayed forever in Oils.”
Jazza had retired when I created his portrait so we used a photo of Jazza in his prime and placed him in a setting on the property.
I went over and took many different views of the property. This was the one I thought would best give a sense of place while not overshadowing Jazza. I subdued the background so Jazza would be the star of the portrait.
The framed portrait. Once the portrait was hung on the wall he looked even better!
