I loved the old salt type aura Graeme presented. This was an experiment where I underpainted in coloured acrylic paint.
I usually paint the likeness in blue acrylic paint and then come over it with Oil colour to finish. I don’t start the oil colours until I am happy with the likeness so I often end up with only an hour to add all the colour!
I was to finish it with Oil but it was purchased by a collector from New Zealand who loved it as is.
