A painting of Widden Valley in the Hunter Valley

Sue Linton Quality Portrait Artist

A photo freezes a moment while a painting melts hearts.

I bring your photos to life in paintings that will touch your heart!

Original Australian Landscape paintings

I paint Australian Landscapes. Many of my local area and I often set up the easel onsite and paint sometimes finishing there other times finishing off in the studio. I love doing Cattle in a scene or stockman and horse scenes.

If you have a special place you would like immortalised in a painting talk to me!

I can paint from photos or if you are local come and set up my easel and paint onsite. If you have a favourite holiday spot you’d like to capture , are selling a property and want to have a memory or want a heirloom portrait created for the grand kids a painting captures the feeling of a place much better than a photo.Paintings are also more 3D than photos and last – unlike photos that fade.

I can also create custom Australiana scenes-  a Cattlemuster or cattleman hut scene can really give your home atmosphere .

I paint in Oils and like to use as much colour as I can. My paintings are more detailed than a lot of artists , I love to bring out the colours of the mountains and cows. I want to capture the feel of the place  – something photos can’t do.

As I am a portrait artist my figures and cows will be convincing. A lot of landscape artists are great painting landscapes but when they add people or animals it just doesn’t look right.

Many of my landscapes are a small to medium size as the galleries I used to display in didn’t have space for larger paintings.

I can create larger paintings for you if required..

Enjoy looking at the gallery of paintings below.
