Artist Sue Linton normally works on pet portraits, but her latest artwork for the Kurri Mural project has taken on a whole new scale. The mural on the side of Kurri Bottle Shop in Allworth Street is a bullock train and her brief to make the bullocks look as though they are coming out of the wall has certainly been full-filled. Sue said that there were some challenges in working on such a large scale. " I seem to be forever going backwards and forwards across the road so I can have a good look at how it is progressing. In that way it is certainly a lot more physical than doing a normal pet portrait commission, but I have found it very rewarding as well." Town Coordinator, Wendy Franklin, said the Mural committee had briefed the artist to make the bullock's life size. " We wanted this mural to have plenty of action and be really dynamic. We asked the artist to make the bullocks look like they were coming out of the wall and Sue has really achieved that," said Wendy.
