was only 3 1/2 years old.

Each of my portraits paintings are a unique custom artwork of your dog ,cat, or horse, hand drawn and painted in a realistic style. My paintings skillfully enhance the character of your pet and greatly improve on a photograph.
When I paint I aim to do more than just reproduce a likeness from the photo. Your portrait will look like YOUR horse , pet or loved one but I want it to be alive colourful and look three dimensional.
My paintings are much more impressive than a photo. When you look at your pet etc you have an emotional connection - you notice their soulful eyes, mouth or ears and the unimportant ( to you ) areas aren't noticed. You don't take in every detail or hair. Have you ever taken photos of your pet and been disappointed but not known why? Generally when you take a photo every part of your pet, every hair and even the background has the same emphasis ...the important thing , the emotional connection, gets lost in the detail. The image is generally very two dimensional and if you have a black or white dog you know how hard it is to get a decent photo of them- they either come out a white or black blob!
In my paintings I can once again make the expression , the eyes , nose ears or gestures foremost and downplay the rest. By subtle methods I also make the animal three dimensional and put any background where it belongs ..in the background , not centre stage! When you look at your portrait you will once again feel that emotional connection but now it is captured for a lifetime of enjoyment.
